Last year, I wrote a list about ways for kids to make money online and offline. And now, what I added here are ways for teens on how to make money online and offline. Probably a few of them are already listed on some blogs, but I will add new ways on how teens can make money, both online and offline.

Some of the methods for teens to earn and make money online and off line are also also applicable on adults and parents.

I also want to share my story when I was a teenager, that’s eons ago when I did some part-time job on every weekend and not during school days co’z I don’t want to skip my classes just to make money.

I still remember that every time I did some work on weekend I am also having fun and at the same time earning some money. Maybe you will ask why? that’s because most of the time I had to ask my bestfriend and sometimes my fellow classmates if they are willing to accompany with me, see not only me having fun but all of us. I know that the earning money before is not that massive, after of-course some part of my weekly earnings will be given to my bestfriend or classmates, whoever my companion during that time. And after saving them in a month or two, the money that I had saved are more than enough to buy me a new bike, a branded one.

Beside, most teens at that time are easily content even if they had only few bucks in their pocket. Unlike now where some greedy IM’s who are not satisfied with their 6 digits earnings, and still keep on spamming your email just to make more money. =)

So underneath are some Ways for Teens to Make Money Offline.

Be a Walking Advertisement.
Some company are looking for a walking advertisement. And yeah, you hear me right. Be a walking ads and make money, just to wear a t-shirt or an oversize make up shirt that made of a cardboard, more like a triangular box with hole for your neck and arms (think Spongebob) with their company name, slogan and possibly their products or brand that printed on front and back.

All you have to do is walk back and forth, back and forth on a designated area on malls or any convention center. But if you’re lucky enough, and the said company is well-known and had a big budget for the said campaign, then expect that a Segway is on-the-way.

Be Computer Helper.
If your hobby involves computer, then you can survey your neighborhood and find out some computer shops and ask them if they want an assistant. This way, you can help others while learning on how to repair computers, so it’s a win-win situation. You can also teach people, especially the new users on how to use and fix their computers.

Shoveling / Watering / Lawn Mowing / Clean Gutters.
If you live in the place where winter and snow are part of daily life, then helping and asking your neighbors, especially the old folks to shovel their driveways and sidewalks or even cleaning the gutters or offer them some handy services. This method will surely add a few cash on your pocket.

On the contrary, I mean if you’re on the sunny side of the planet, then helping your neighbors and old folks in your area on their front / backyard beautification, or cultivating and watering their plants / flowers are also another way to earn money (gardening is fun while earning cash). You can also ask them if they want you to mow their lawn and rake leaves for a few bucks.

Washing Cars and Windows.
Washing cars and windows are not for kids but for teens, but if your kids really want to wash cars or windows, then they must be under supervise by teens (a bit older). I know that washing cars are also fun, but there must be an adult involved, especially when washing windows on higher houses.

Be an Assistant Mechanic.
Yeah, I know that it will make you roll up your sleeve and it’s dirty, but you will earn good money as well and in the long run, it will make you an expert mechanic. And as a beginner, you can just learn on how to change oil and clean filters.

Be a Caddy.
If you’re lucky enough and there’s a country club with golf courses near your town, then you can approach the management and ask them if it’s allowed to be a caddy on some golfers. It’s not only a good way to earn money, but also learning about the ins and outs in the golf course, not to mention that maybe in the near future you will become a pro-golfer.

Be an Artist and learn to Paint Ceramics and Tiny Jars.
Learn to painting ceramics and tiny jars – for birthday and wedding give-aways and some are for export. During my adolescent years I’m so lucky because not far from our house, a ceramic / gift shop is located. So on every weekend we(with my friends) try to drop there and check if they have lots of order so that we can help them painting and packaging.

Be a Baby Sitter / House Sitter.
If you like kids(and probably you had little brother or sister), then maybe you can baby sit your neighbor’s kid. This job is not a waste of time contrary to other sayings. It just only takes 2 to 4 hours and you get paid instantly, beside you can still study your lesson while doing this kind of job especially if the kid is sleeping.

This kind of job can also expand into a baby sitting service, try asking your friends to organized or by joining together a group of people who can offer baby sitting service to all parents in your neighborhood. Who knows maybe someday your group will become known and famous for baby sitting service.

Be a Baker.
If you have lots of free time then you may try baking. And you really like to bake but doesn’t know how, then try browsing online and learn some tips or reading some e-books about baking. Baking and making cookies are another way to earn and make money.

Ways for Teens to Make and Earn Money Online

Take Paid Surveys.
Teens can make and earn money online by filling out online surveys for video games and movies, but make sure to create a new email address just for surveys and separate from your personal mail. Most online surveys just take your email address and send spam instead of questionnaires.

Create Blogs.
Create blogs and start writing on what’s on your mind, then add AdSense or Chitika, another way to make money online. Be sure to create more blogs with different niches and not just a blog to make more money online. =)

Selling e-Books.
If you had a blog but doesn’t want to add AdSense but instead you like selling other people’s stuff, then be an affiliate. Get an account and sign up on Amazon or Clickbank or both and begun selling e-books and other products online and began earning money thru commissions.

Write Articles Online.
Yeah, I know that this option is not for everyone, but most of teens nowadays are gifted, so follow your heart and write whatever topics or idea that comes into your mind. Or probably search some niches, write about it then sell your articles online.

Play Games Online.
I know that lots of teens even kids play games online. But instead of paying so that you can play, this time you have to reverse, play and make money online.

Take note that the highlighted ways for teens to make money online / offline should not interfere with any school work, including assignment and homework for school. During school days, it’s a must for teens to prioritize their school work and studies rather than make money online and offline.
