101 Ways to Build Links to your Website

Perhaps at this moment you’re already browsing the list below if I had really posted the 101 ways on how to build links to your website. I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I think that the said list are more than enough to send your blog/site on the first page of SERPs, and what really matter is you try them even if just only half of the listed ways.

Link building is time consuming especially if your blog is just new and does not have much articles on it – like this blog. Beside some web master who had a website with the pagerank of 4 and above are snub on newbies who ask for link exchange. They did not even bother to answer your email, maybe because your blog/site has still no juice.

Unlike most internet marketers, they really like newbies, and they are more than happy to answer your email especially if you sign up on their site. ’nuff of that… =)

So, here are some ways on how to obtain links to your site:

Create Plugins and Widgets
Create helpful plugins and widgets and scattered it online, of course with your link attached on it. A sure way on gaining backlinks.

Trade Articles with other Bloggers.
Trade articles with other website owners. Most bloggers are willing to trade articles, just send them an email.

Hold a Contest.
Holding a contest on your blog also obtain backlinks, not to mentioned that people love contest especially if it involves a few hundred dollars of prize.

Create Viral Videos.
Create viral videos about interesting stuff, and upload it on Youtube or Metacafe. Moreover if the said videos are about ways on how to make money online.

Offer Free Download Stuff.
Offer lots of free download on your site, such as e-books, twitter background and desktop wallpaper. Most online users loved freebies and give-aways.

Create Lots of Websites / Blogs.
Yes, you hear me right. Create as much blog/website as you can, then interlinks each of your site. Here’s the lists of free blog hosting websites and free hosting blogs if you want to create more blogs.

Run Surveys on your Blog.
Search what’s the latest trends, gossip and hot topics, then conduct a poll or survey about it.

Do Site Link Exchange.
Send an email on some website owners with same topic of yours if they want to exchange link with your blog. The best link is the one-way link which pointing on your blog with your target keywords from site with relevant on your topic. Although it’s hard to obtain that kind of links, then you can do a 3-way linking, those are better than 2-way or what we call reciprocal links. And most of all stay away from the so called link farms.

Create WordPress and Blogger Templates.
If you know how to create website templates, then design WP and Blogger templates and give it for free, this is the surest and easiest way to obtain links(if the user doesn’t change your link). Just make sure that you did not forget to include your URL link on the footer.

Participate in Forums.
Participate in forums, follow their rules. Post some interesting topics, and if you answer some question make sure that you know what you are talking. Don’t spam, and most of all don’t forget to add your URL link on your signature.

Guest Posting.
Shot an e-mail on some well-known bloggers with relevant niche of yours, if they are accepting guest post. If the answer is yes, then write a long article with great information and of course with your link on it.

Do Link Baiting.
Samples of link baiting is creating an e-book and make it free for downloading. Or you can create a buzz, by writing an article on your blog that contradicts some teachings of any well-known blogging gurus, but make sure that you can support your write-ups.

Use Do Follow Social Bookmarks.
Post your articles on Do Follow social bookmarkings sites such as Technorati, Digg, StumbleUpon and Del.icio.us.

Post Comments on Do Follow Blogs.
Visit Do Follow blogs, express what you think about the article written on the said blog. Post your comment, but make sure that your comment is relevant to the topic and not the cliche ‘nice posting’ stuff and don’t spam. Let the web master read your comment and not to just push the delete button. Do Follow Blogs are also the great way to increase traffic and add juice on your Google pageranking.

Ask and Answer Questions.
Yes, you can built links by just asking and answering questions at Yahoo Answers and Google Group. But make sure that your answer is relevant on the said questions. Most of all, don’t spam.

Submit your Site to Directories.
Submit your site on free directory such as DMOZ, or paid directories like Yahoo Directory and Business. Paid directories means you have to pay them first before they will accept your site on their listing, this is for those who are willing to throw some money in exchange of getting links.

Write Articles in Article Directories.
Write an article and submit it on article directories, such as Ezinearticles, Buzzle, Goarticles, Helium, Isnare, etc.

Build Hub Pages or Squidoo Lens.
Re-write some of your articles and build Hub pages, you can also create lens on Squidoo. As of this writing, I also sign up on Hubpages, maybe I will rewrite this article and post it there.

Submit your blog/site on AlphaInventions and BlogSurfer.
Submit your blog/site on AlphaInventions.com and BlogSurfer.us and watch your stats spike high. Lots of blogger and website owners also submit their site and the possibility of getting links are high. So, submit your site and don’t forget to sign up and be a member of their forum.

Update your Blog/Site Regularly. (Yeah, I know I’m guilty of this!)
Write fresh and original content for your sites. You can basically write what you want, as long as it is relevant to your niche and it must be original and not duplicate or copy-paste from other site.

And oh, did I mentioned that the titled 101 ways to build links to your website is more on SEO purposes only. I’m a beginner on SEO and I’ll just want to try if I really end up on SERPs on some keywords, if not its still okey, though I’d just tried a couple ways of link building from the above list. By the way, I already saw tons of authority sites up there. =)
